Moving forward!

It has been a little to long since I last wrote... not much has happened... but I do have some exciting news!

I will be taking Medical Assistant classes in a could of weeks... that means in ONE year I will be able to start a "big girl" job!!! Im so excited I cant even explain it!
I graduated High School in 05.. and have pretty much nothing to show for the past 5 years of going to school.  I have gone to three different colleges and have changed majors thee to four times. I moved to Madison about a year and a half ago for school/ move in with my love.  Living together has been amazing and we are closer then ever but, I have felt like I was standing still watching the world go by.  I cant wait to start this process and feel like I finally have a purpose!! ♥

Green Smoothies!!

A while ago I stumbled on this website... http://therawdivas.com/ ... It is a website all about the raw food diet.  They have a free 7day raw food detox program for woman... blogs.. Q&A.  The woman who run this site are amazing.  They are there to answer any questions you have weather you have been eating the raw food way for a while or you are just getting interested in introducing it into your lifestyle.  I have picked up on the GREEN SMOOTHIES!!! They are delicious and do so many amazing things for you body and mind!

So I made made one of my own... a GREEN BANANA SMOOTHIE...

2 handfuls of baby organic spinach
3 leaves of romaine lettuce
2 Bananas
1 Orange
1 cup of Tropicana Trop50 - Pineapple Mango Juice

This recipe makes about 2 glasses (the size that is in the picture)
1 glass = 276 calories
                           71 carbohydrates
               33 sugars

It is so delicious.. not to mention it gives you that extra boost you need in the morning! :)

Blackhawk Church.. the first church that has ever made to cry happy tears!

A couple of months ago David and I started going to Blackhawk church.  This is the perfect church for us to attend because David and I were raised in different denominations (David=Lutheran and I= Catholic).  Blackhawk has a more nondenominational focus. They take the books of the bible and then apply them to the world we are living in today. This church has a cafe service that we attend.  It has a video feed of that day's message and has louder, more electric music with coffee available in the room.... The songs that they sing make a cry EVERY time.. But I love love love this church and I'm SO happy we have found it!

This month Blackhawk is doing a series about sex... which has been a PERFECT series for David and I to attend .. since we do have a strong relationship with our God and want to keep that relationship growing.  This past Sunday they were talking marriage and sex.  When you get married your bodies belong to each other and that you need to love and respect those bodies.  At the end of the service last night they had a video clip of Columbia Bible College and Seminary President Robertson McQuilkin talking about his devotion to his wife in sickness and in health.... just a warning get tissues because you will cry.

.

While watching this movie I had David next to me and all I could think about is ... this is the man I get to marry and I know this is how he will treat me and I for him when we start to feel the signs of aging.  I am SO lucky and proud to have a man like him (and his family) in my life!

♥So Blessed♥

ITS FALL!

October Already?!?!

My last blog was all about wishing the cold crisp days would come... and they did! :)
I cant believe this amazing month is here so soon!

This weekend I think David and I will go to a pumpkin patch and get a big fat pumpkin :)
The best part of carving the pumpkin is roasting the seeds!  yummmm... another plus is that David hates them so I get them all to myself! :)

There is so many GREAT things that are happening this month!

1. Someone VERY special to me is making a BIG change in her life and taking a new step forward! I cant express how excited I am for her and her family and how proud EVERYONE is that she is making this decision and sticking to it! :)  Good luck tomorrow love you!!!

2. MARCHING BAND... ohmygoodness... I cant believe it has been 5 years since I stepped foot on a football field and performed my heart out!  On the 16th the Oak Creek Marching Knights are going to state... and Nicole, Michelle, Allison and I are all going to cheer our Alma mater and hope they kick some West and North butt :)

3. Football... I just LOVE my PACKERS and I love to cheer them on... plus the NFL now has WOMEN jerseys... so exciting... I will be getting on sooner or later :)

**But I would LOVE a Driver jersey... he is so damn amazing and sexy :) **

heat advisory

when I think of summer... I think of

..... heat ... humidity ... and sweat ....

Today there is yet again another heat advisory.. it is 90 out but the heat index is saying 99.. ewww..
This summer has been all three of those nasty words, and it is so draining.  I don't know if it is just me but I feel like this summer has been one of the worst in a long time.  I don't want to go outside during the day.. I will just be crabby and sweaty.  Just by walking a couple of blocks to my car I am drenched in sweat and cant get my ac quick enough! I am so done with all this heat!

fall.. fall.. fall.. fall.. fall.. I cant wait for FALL!  :) Every day I tell David that it cant come quick enough!! I cant wait for the changing trees.. carving pumpkins.. all the colorful foods.. badger games.. and the cold days snuggling under blankets drinking hot coco!!!

bradford beach!

Living in Madison for the past year has been amazing!   Seeing the capitol every day, living right off of a lake, and walking down state street have all been beautiful.

But I miss my Milwaukee!

going downtown to the beach, going out to the bars and
just the over all feel of Milwaukee.

time apart.

Country Fest.

David left me Wensday afternoon to go on a 4 day camping trip to listen to country music. drink beer. and eat.... no girls allowed! On one hand I am very excited for him to be out with the boys: having fun and being crazy. On the other I am jealous that I could not go and scared to be in the apartment alone for 3 of those 5 nights. Ever since the break in during Christmas break I always wonder if that person will ever come back and try again... crazy how something like that can change your life even if you were not there at the time. Thankfully everything went fine and I was able to fall asleep every night (but not without the living-room light on)

Today I get to pick up the love of my life and Iam SO excited to see him!!! I feel so much at ease when he is around. All I have to do is call his name and he will be right there at my side.

I love it and I could not live without it!
